Cheddar Frequencies invites residents of Cheddar and the surrounding villages to record fascinating stories and share amazing tales that celebrate local culture, unearth hidden memories and depict the location in a new light.
Using sound recording equipment participants from community groups in Cheddar have created spoken-word self-portraits capturing distinctive ambient sounds of the locality
Participants have learned how to edit their sounds and co-create a physical sound-artwork which will be installed in the village in May
Public workshops were also held at the Cheddar Library.
The finished work was exhibited at Cheddar Arts Quarter 3rd -15th May.
